Mr. KyungTae Han started his career in Seoul Securities in Korea as an associate who was mainly responsible for dealing with foreign individual investors. He then moved to TongYang Securities in Korea as a derivatives trader, and through hard work and dedication he became a manager in the private banking sector providing investment management and private banking services to new and existing high-net-worth clientele.
In October 2006, he was promoted as a country head of TongYang Securities based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He led the company to become first investment bank in Cambodia to obtain license for the comprehensive investment banking services, and even invited the Prime Minister and the minister of MEF to Seoul HQs. In April 2010, he moved up his career ladder as a managing director, and he led his team to successfully launched the country's first ever IPO in April 18, 2012. He was also financial advisor/relations manager to the Cambodian government (MEF) for establishment of the country's stock market as well as a regional head covering CLMV countries (Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam) in the development of deal pipeline and reviewing investment opportunities.
As a managing director of Yuanta Securities Cambodia, he successfully completed monumental IPO project of the country's largest commercial bank, ACELEDA Bank, in May 2020 despite the challenges and obstacles presented by the global pandemics Covid-19. He also led a number of successful projects including launching FX-indexed bonds in the Cambodian bond market, raising a trust fund of USD 65 million from retail investors in Korea, completed M&A transactions involving TSB specialized bank and CamCapital specialized bank. He also led various advisory experiences on market entry and growth strategy in Cambodia for large number of foreign companies.
